Dr Paula O’Kane
Senior Lecturer; CARE Co-Director
University of Otago
Associate Professor Paula O’Kane is based in the Management Department in the Otago Business School. She has a wide area of research interest around how we work, why we work and how to make work better for everyone. Paula is also a co-director for the Collaboration of Ageing Research Excellence (CARE). In relation to ageing she explores how work can be redesigned and workplaces can be adapted to enable older people to work, successfully and healthily for as long as they need or want. Financial security and health are important determinants of both wellbeing and access to appropriate housing as people age.
